RUSTIC CABINS & CAMPING

11 sites and refuge open 7 June to 11 October: Rustic wood platform with magnificent views.

Refuge has kitchen, fireplace and dormitory for up to 20 people in bunk beds.

Services: Toilets at refuge. Tents for rental

HIKING

  • A network of 52 kms of marked trails in the heart of the Monts Sutton massif open year round for hiking and snowshoeing.
  • Four peaks, four mountain lakes and wonderful views.
  • Trails from 2 to 20kms with something for every grade of hiker.

Welcome hut at 900 chemin Réal: day passes, trail map, trailhead, toilets, parking.

Altitude 400 : day passes, trail map, trailhead, parking (summer only)

Sutton lodgings : many sell day passes and  trail maps

Fees : Daily ticket – Adults $5, Student $4, Child (6-17) $3, Family (2 adults, 2 children) $15. Annual pass – Individual : $30, Family $40. Group rates also available.

Camping : Refuge and rustic camping available from 1 June to 31 October at Altitude 840. Reservations required. Go to the campgrounds page for more details.

Tickets and trail map available from : Welcome booth, Sutton Visitor Information Office, many Sutton lodgings.

Rentals : No

Other : Dogs on leash permitted on majority of trails.

WATER FUN

Take a picnic and dabble your feet in the river or mountain lakes that you will find on these hiking trails :

  • Village-Mountain – 6.4 km one way, approx. 2 hours, easy hike – Village on Maple
  • Lake Spruce – 4.4 kms. round trip, approx. 1hour 45 minutes – Start point : 520m  trailhead
  • Lake Mohawk – 8 kms. round trip, approx. 4 hours – Start point : 520m trailhead

A 5$ day pass is required for access; available from Sutton Visitor Information Office in the village,  the Welcome Booth at Alt 520m Mont or at many of our lodgings.
